- Understanding your customers better to proactively improve your business in line with changing market opportunities
- Building customer relationships before, during and after the visit
- Making the most of the existing knowledge you have about your customers
- Collaborating with others – knowing what the key attractors are in your area to suit your main visitor profiles and working with others to cross promote your business
- Collecting customer feedback – choosing the right tools, asking the right questions and when, taking action when you have the answers to best benefit your business
- Finding out how other businesses have used this process to be more successful
