Drive to Dornoch stopping for lunch at the Dornoch Castle Hotel. Dornoch is a small towna pproximately 1 hours drive from Inverness. Why not take a stroll around Dornoch cathedral or stretch your legs on the magnificent sandy beach and watch the golfers on the championship links course.

Drive to Forss House Hotel, Forss, Near Thurso – journey time from Brora to Forss House is approximately 1.5 hours. The old fishing harbours at Latheron and Dunbeath are worth stopping at if you have time. In Lybster the Waterlines centre recounts tales from the sea and serves excellent snacks in the cafe.
From the Forss House Hotel travel to Wick approximately 35minutes. Discover the amazing Caithness cliffs and wildlife with a boat trip with Caithness Sea coast from Wick harbour. Afterwards treat yourself to a lunch made with the best of local produce at Mackays Hotel No 1 Bistro in Wick. From there walk to Pulteney distillery and learn all about the making of whisky with a distillery tour.
Less than ten minutes drive from Wick discover the majestic cliff top remains of Castle Sinclair Girnigoe.
In the summer months enjoy the pipe band playing in Wick town centre. In the evening take a stroll across to Dunnet Head – the most northerly point of the British mainland. Visit John 0′Groats and catch the cyclists ending or starting their epic journeys.
